Especially, if you have lymphedema in the legs and it is hard for you to walk, or lymphedema in your arms can result in unable to use your hands effectively, and your lymphedema could be found medically equal to “Major Dysfunction” of the blue book joint listing. For additional information look in the Social Security Administration’s Blue Book Listing.

If your lymphedema symptoms can be medically similar to other blue book listings as well, it depends on the body part affected you from working. Seek a self-help book or an experienced disability attorney that is familiar with your condition from the blue book listings to be medically equivalent to help prove your lymphedema systems are equal to the listing. However, purchasing a self-help book would be helpful to make sure your attorney is doing everything to get your disability benefits approved. You can even ask your attorney questions from the self-help book “How to win your Social Security Disability or Supplemental Security Income Case without an Attorney” to ensure he or she is qualified enough to take your case.
